They planted their first compact vineyard in Kozana and with this act, consciously or unconsciously, chose the stake for their winery. They wanted to expand the range of products, as they felt that wine production from Goriška brda was becoming a profitable activity.

New roads and railroads were built and new markets were opened up. At that time, nobody suspected that the vineyards would be attacked by phylloxera. Wars followed, forcing the family into difficult living conditions.

The monotonous hum of a tractor somewhere in the vineyard is the only proof that modern technology can penetrate the world of traditional manual labor, customs and knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Experiences from days gone by guide the impatience of youth and at our winery we are very proud of the fact that children and parents take care of the vineyards, winemaking and marketing together.
